The ONEPlanET consortium is pleased to announce its General Assembly (GA) 2024 set to take place from 18th to 20th of September in Paris, France. This bi-annual assembly serves as a pivotal formal gathering for members and project partners to review and assess the project’s progress and performance, ensuring clear understanding of the current status and future direction.
During the assembly, the partners will address challenges, issues, or risks that have arisen, develop mitigation strategies, and identify new opportunities. Moreover, members develop a roadmap that will guide the project’s next phase, providing an opportunity to foster collaboration and advance the ONEPlanET initiative.
The assembly will bring together project partners, including RINA Consulting SPA, Fundacion CARTIF, Universidad de Valladolid, Three O’Clock, Stichting IHE Delft Institute for Water Education, ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, Strathmore University, Stiftelsen The Stockholm Environment Institute, University of KwaZulu-Natal, Università Degli Studi di Genova, The Cyprus Institute and AfriLabs.
On the first day, the assembly will commence with a welcome to all partners, followed by an introduction to the meeting goals and updates from Serena Scotton of RINA-C. Key sessions will include financial overviews, summaries of ongoing tasks, and presentations from various work packages, featuring insights and updates from project leaders; Peter Odhiambo from Strathmore University, Abdoulaye Ballo from ECREEE, and Lydia Ezenwa from AfriLabs.
Day two will be dedicated to the Review Meeting, starting with a summary of the first reporting period by Serena Scotton and Agnieszka Lisowska from RINA-C. Throughout the day, there will be comprehensive reviews and discussions on the progress and challenges of various work packages. This day will also provide an opportunity for comments and feedback from Irene Pinedo of CINEA, ensuring that all aspects of the project are thoroughly evaluated and discussed.
The final day will feature a workshop with sister projects, fostering a collaborative environment where participants can share knowledge, strategies, and insights to further enhance the project’s impact.
